Getting your bike serviced usually involves finding the time to take your bike to a shop, leaving it there for days, even weeks, while you wait for “the call”, and then finding the time to go and pick it up again. And in the meantime, not only are you bikeless, but you’re negotiating the pitfalls of public transport, too. We know this is less than ideal – that’s why we offer three servicing options, all designed for your convenience:
Workplace service
The most popular option! As the name suggests, we will come and service your bike at your workplace during your working hours. Our minimum is 2 full services per day, and the more bikes there are, the cheaper it gets (discounts come into effect with 3 or more full services).
Takeaway service
If it’s not convenient to have your bike serviced at work, we can pick up your bike and service it at our fully equipped workshop in Woolwich, south east London, and then return it to you. This may be a better option for your race bikes, or if you need more specific, complex jobs carrying out, like disc brake or suspension servicing.
At Home
It is sometimes more convenient for us to visit you and work on your bike there. Do bear in mind though that there is a minimum fee of £30 + parts on all callouts, redeemable against the cost of the work you have done on your bike.
What does it cost?
We aim to be competitive with other London bike shops, but do make sure you know what you’re paying for. A full service from Rat Race Cycles includes a lot more than most of our major competitors! And remember, we come to you.
Full service (Workplace, At Home or Takeaway): £70 (inc VAT)
For more details and prices of our other services please go to our price list.
**Every job, though, like every bike, is different. The best thing you can do to get a clear idea of what a Rat Race service will cost you is to call or email us, so we can discuss your bike’s needs. We don’t bite, honest!**
